Frequently asked questions
Are cold-spark fountains safe, and can they be used indoors?
Yes. Cold-spark fountains produce low-temperature sparks with no open flame and very little smoke, which is why they can be used indoors when safety distances are respected. They are scenic effects, not pyrotechnics, and don't require traditional firework permits.
How does low fog work for the first dance?
A low-fog machine chills the fog so it stays at floor level, creating the cloud effect around the couple without filling the room. Timing is everything, which is why our technicians run it, cued to the music and the lighting.
Is a technician always operating the effects?
Yes. Fountains, CO2 and low fog are fired over DMX by one of our operators, on the exact timing of the moment. That's how the effect lands on cue and stays safe.
Will an Italian venue allow cold sparks?
Most do, precisely because they aren't pyrotechnics — but the decision is the venue's, and historic properties sometimes restrict them. We check with the venue in advance as part of planning, and if they're not permitted we propose alternatives that read the same on camera.
